Eco-estate Home — Overview
This contemporary home was tailored to the wishes of its two owners.
The home is situated in and eco-resort at the foot of the Paardeberg in the Western Cape, South Africa.
With careful attention to the needs of our clients we crafted a calm refuge from their busy overseas lives.
The home is terraced into the slope of the mountain behind with sheltered spaces on both sides of the main living areas. Close mountainside views over the stone wrapped training pool and its secret garden are balanced by wide openings onto floating timber decked terraces with vast distant views across the Berg River Valley.
The food garden at the kitchen court is a refuge for butterflies and eager chefs while the rockery in the front garden with its endemic fynbos and succulents blends into the natural setting. Tortoises, bird life, mountain antelope and armoured porcupine tread their careful ways through the garden.
